It’s not about Fair Trade.

It’s about fair trade. Andevery Fanny Pack is manufactured by the Bhopal Rehabilitation Group (BRG) in strict compliance with Fair Trade standards.

Why the BRG? Back in 1984, a mistake at a Union Carbide plant sprayed 40 tons of lethal chemicals over the Bhopal community. Some 500,000 million people have been affected in the fall out. We thought we’d support the Bhopal community and raise the standard for our industry by providing Fair Trade-standard jobs in conjunction with a team working to restore the people. And why Fair Trade? The majority of bags sold by US retailers are made by eight year olds for ten cents on the hour. We thought we’d rage against the machine and be counter cultural by treating our partners with respect.

Humanitarian Efforts

There are 100 million orphans worldwide. Every thirty seconds, two more kids join the club. And since charitable giving by fashion firms is a lost or never developed art, we thought we’d reinvent giving for them. By giving.

10% of all FannyPack profits are donated to The Orphanage Project – a school and orphanage just outside New Delhi.
